Day01: Paris –Bamako
On regularly scheduled flight (commercial airline). Transfer from the airport to the town and overnight at the Hotel.
Day02: Bamako – Segou
In the morning, we will visit the city of Bamako, which offers an interesting mix of colonial buildings and colourful street markets that characterise West Africa. We will visit to the National Museum and the craft market. Lunch and departure for Segou. On the way we will visit Segoukoro, a village located on the banks of the river and, over the centuries, was the chosen residence of the Bambara emperors. Overnight in hotel.
Day03: Segou—Djenné
Departure in the morning towards Djenne (the twin sister of Timbuktu). The route takes us through a wild landscape dotted with giant baobab trees and thorny bushes. Brief stops to admire the San Mosque and several Bambara and Bobo villages. Arrival for lunch and settlement in Hotel Pondori. Dinner and overnight in Djenné.
Day04: Djenné-Mopti (River Cruise)
Breakfast and boarding for a whole day of boat cruise on the river Bani to Mopti. Discovery of the life along the Bani river with stops to visit some Bambara, Bozo, and Fulani villages. On the way, we will visit of the Tuesday market of Sofara. Arrival and settlement in Hotel Kanaga.
Day05: Mopti—Bandiagara
Breakfast and visit of Mopti. Lunch at the restaurant Bar Bozo to see life on the harbor. After lunch, drive to Bandiagara via Songo and its rock paintings. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
Day06: Dogon Country full day discovery
Breakfast and drive to visit the villages of Banani, Ireli, Amani, Tireli (Dogon Masks dance performance) then drive back to Bandiagara along the escarpment with the villages of Nombori and Dourou. Dinner and Overnight in Bandiagara.
Day07: Bandiagara-Segou
Breakfast and drive to Segou via the village of San, a Bobo Village with a spectacular Mosque. Lunch in Segou. In the afternoon visit of Segou with its colonial quaters and clay makers. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day08: Segou—Bamako
Breakfast and drive to Bamako. Arrival followed by a check in in a room for day use. Free time for last shopping. Dinner and transfer to airport for departure.
